Robotics has given Hobby Electronics a new Dimension in India and every year more and more NewBies are getting into this field.
There are no such issues that you will face in INDIA while getting into Robotics.

Here is how your mindset should be before getting into Robotics:

  1. Non tiring attitude
  2. Intuitive Behavior while making Robots
  3. Killing Instinct of completing a started Project
  4. Best Soldering Skills
  5. Wide angle Observation Skills
  6. Need a Buddy with same Mindset and Skills
  7. Experimenting attitude
  8. Googlyness for solving problems

    As this hobby is growing widely in all of the Engineering Colleges in India, parts needed to make the bot are very cost effective and affordable.
    Also there are a lot of online shops which have excellent parts and drop them off at you door step.

    The recommended first Robot you should make is a simple Wired Robot with a remote in your hand. There are a lot of videos for that on youtube and tutorials on instructables.

The New Features

  • More GPIO. The GPIO header has grown to 40 pins, while retaining the same pinout for the first 26 pins as the Model B.
  • More USB. We now have 4 USB 2.0 ports, compared to 2 on the Model B, and better hotplug and overcurrent behaviour.
  • Micro SD. The old friction-fit SD card socket has been replaced with a much nicer push-push micro SD version.
  • Lower power consumption. By replacing linear regulators with switching ones we’ve reduced power consumption by between 0.5W and 1W.
  • Better audio. The audio circuit incorporates a dedicated low-noise power supply.
  • Neater form factor. We’ve aligned the USB connectors with the board edge, moved composite video onto the 3.5mm jack, and added four squarely-placed mounting holes.
